What is a Level 2 ASP Electrician?

When dealing with any aspect of electrical work it must be performed by a licensed and experienced electrician, similarly all electrical level 2 work must be attended to a qualified Level 2 ASP Electrician. The use of a Level 2 electrician is not only important for your safety but that of your property.

What is a Level 2 ASP?

First off, a Level 2 ASP stands for Level 2 Authorised Service Provider, it is a trade service you need to be able to count on in an emergency. A level 2 ASP is a fully qualified electrician who has gone through an extra extensive qualification process to become certified by the electricity authority to work with the overhead cables coming from the street to your property.

Level 2 ASP consists of 4 categories (we cover all 4 categories): 

Category 1- Disconnect and Reconnect

Category 2- Underground Services 

Category 3- Overhead Services

Category 4- Metering

When will I most likely require a Level 2 ASP?

You will require a Level 2 ASP electrician whenever you need power upgrades, repairs and metering. Examples of this are:

• If you want to add a new service main to an existing one for your home, commercial space or require more power then you are currently being distributed.
• When undertaking demolitions of properties, buildings, commercial etc we can help to disconnect the service mains safely.
• Natural emergencies such as storms can affect all things electrical. A repercussion of severe storms can be private power poles (not service power poles) becoming uprooted. To fix a situation as severe as this you will require a Level 2 ASP, our Level 2 ASP is available to service you needs 24/7.
